How can we ensure that we are maximizing the benefits of all our current technologies?
Civic Sphere worked with a public transport provider in Northeast Iowa, USA through a National Center for Applied Transit Technology-funded project in 2023. Part of the project involved conducting an “audit” of sorts of the organization's current technologies. This focused mainly on their demand-responsive transport (DRT) operations software, data storage and analysis platforms, and public-facing websites and apps.
The answer? A number of customized resources were provided: suggestions for maximizing the use of the DRT operations software, ideas for how to combine particular data sets to answer major questions, and recommendations to improve the information and services provided to the public via websites and apps.
